SIMPSON Timber Co. Shelton Washington APR2003

This shortline logging railroad is run by the Simpson Timber Co. is still very much busy and operating some beautifully maintained EMD SW1200 locomotives.  I was fortunate enough on a recent mountain bike trip to the west side of the Puget Sound to catch the #1200 in action at the mill yards in Shelton.  The railroad employees were very tolerant of me and my buddy running around and taking pictures of them working.  We were right in the middle of the action.  It was a most memorable experience.
