Narrowgauge Class C Shay geared logging locomotive. This model represents builder's serial number 3302 operated on the West Side Lumber Co. railroad operations as the number 12 out of Tuolumne in the state of California from 1940 to 1961. Uses a heavy girder steel frame and cast steel bogey frames. It was built in the Lima shops in 04-21-1926 originally for the Swayne Lumber Co., Oroville California. This locomotive is on the Shay Survivor List and now operates on tourist excursions as the Georgetown Loop RR #12, Silver Plume Colorado.

This model was originally made for UTC but will work in TRS2004.

West Side #12 Model Information
This locomotive was developed using GMax 1.2. It was my first locomotive modeling effort and took approximately five months to complete from start to finish. It was the first Class C Shay available for Trainz. This loco has a moderatly high poly count of 12,000 but performs well on most machines with modern graphics cards with 64M ram or higher. Since this is a non-LOD model, it is recommended that your Trainz performance settings for polycount be set to maximum level to avoid poly clipping.
